Increased Enforcement and Community-based Solutions
President Trump made immigration a central feature of his campaign and has taken swift action uprooting families and leaving many living with fear and uncertainty about their futures.
What are the myths and realities about illegal immigration? What are its causes? What is it like to be an undocumented person living in the US? What new policies are in effect? Who is being affected? How do immigrants affect the American workforce? What can native born people do to help protect our neighbors in these uncertain times?
Join Northern Illinois Jobs With Justice for analysis and discussion about many facets of immigration in the Trump era. We will be hosting a panel including Shirley Sadjadi, Immigration attorney, Tim Bell of the Chicago Workers Collaborative, Ada Fuentes-Zullo of Jobs with Justice, and front line community activists from Immigrant Solidarity DuPage.
