At our Tuesday, February 19, 2019 meeting: Dr. John Perryman, a general pediatrician and co-president of Physicians for a National Health Program in northern Illinois, will speak about the push for single payer health care.
In addition, as noted in a previous email sent to precinct committeepersons, we will discuss and vote on a motion, made at the January meeting, to amend the bylaws of Elgin Township Democrats. The motion, in relevant part, reads as follows, “To amend the Elgin Township Democrats Bylaws to replace each reference to ‘Committeeman’ with ‘Committeeperson,’ ‘Committeemen’ with ‘Committeepersons’ and ‘Chairman’ with ‘Chair,’ and to change the expression ‘one man-one vote’ to ‘one person-one vote’.”
